Health Care Proxy and Living Will
A few hints on the last will and living will.
Please understand this is not compiled with any legal expertise do feel free to have a legal entity review and confirm if you have any concern. A few recommendations:
- All the points mentioned are as per recommendations, but an option to opt-out has been given just in case someone disagrees and rather than completely discarding this document, to at least opt out of that specific clause but still keep the rest.
- Assign an executor that is younger, trustworthy and preferably a Muslim.
- Very important to have it notarized.
- Once it is notarized, share a copy of this with all immediate relatives, especially if non-Muslim and emphasize how critical it is for you that they comply with it.
- In case you or any person has concern, have them speak to one of the imams.
- Place a copy preferably with executors as well as with a local Masjid
